About
Anatomy of the Fairy Tale
Follow me, curious boys and girls
Into magic swirls and twirls
Knights, princes, and kings galore
My story will have you craving more
Here boys, this part is for you
Princes always know how to do
Save the girl and steal some gold
Same old story never gets old
But step back and observe kids
My fairy tale goes kind of like this:
They try so hard to get where they are
Princess's home in a locked up tower
But what if princess took a turn to bad
And gave old princey and nice, deep stab?
Strips him down and steals his clothes
Where he's going, he won't need those
Not so good to go in alone
Heroes never claim the throne
Now girls, you've got the brain
Come with me and I'll explain
Knights are always prude and proud
Only act to draw a crowd
Princesses are stuck the same
Locked away to be reclaimed
So used to knights at your hand
But one might try a different plan
Don't always expect a heroic rescue
Not every prince wants to go save you
What do you do when you're all locked in?
Locked up where a prince has never been
Then on one fateful, dark, dark day
When little princey comes to play
Ties you down and tears your dress
Shuts you up with a gentle press
Not all princes are charming and sweet
A few short minutes, prince is complete
So boys and girls, consider yourselves taught
Hope you give stories a second thought
Next time you want to be princess or prince
I hope this tale has got you convinced
My stories may be dark and cold
But you'll be grateful when they never get old.
