The sound was what caught your attention as you were walking. But glancing around you could see nothing that would make a sound quite like that. It was only soft but your curiosity got the better of you. You had to know what it was. Following it as best you could, you felt your heart beat quicken as the sound became louder and louder before you turned into a vacant backstreet. A flashing light caught your eye and you froze to your spot as you watched a 1960 police box materialize in front of you.
The sound faded, but all you could do was stare and try to keep your balance as your legs had gone a bit wobbly beneath you. You could hear faint noises from inside, since you were only a few meters away, and wondered what in the world was going on and what that thing was.
You suddenly jumped as the door swung open and a brunette man stepped out, straightening his jacket and running his hands through his hair. You kept quiet, not sure if whoever or whatever he was, was friendly. He turned, eyes meeting yours and before you knew it he had whipped out a screwdriver looking device. The tip lit up and he ran the light down over your body before looking at the side. "Ah... human. Should've guessed. I am on Earth. But you never know..." He said, making you frown, but you still really couldn't speak as shock was running through your system. So all you could do was stare.
Feeling you watching him, he turned to the side to look to you and then motion towards the object he had arrived in, smile widening on his face. "Beauty isn't she? Takes me anywhere I want to go, whenever I feel like it to whatever time I like. A TARDIS is what she is. And this..." He showed you what he had scanned you with before. "... is my Sonic Screwdriver. Handy little gadget it is." He added before he moved to place his hand to the door of the TARDIS for a moment. Stepping away, he turned back towards you and made his way to you, hands sliding into the pockets in his pants as he gave a grin.
Finally able to get your body to move, you tilted your head slightly with a raised eyebrow before he stopped in front of you. "Now... what's your name?" He asked, looking at you as he waited for your answer. Saying your name, you didn't hesitate afterwards to ask the same question, feeling a little better now as you followed him away from the strange object he had arrived in. A chuckle escaped him and he glanced back out of the corner of his eye at you, charming smile on his lips.
