My hope
When your account is hacked - you make a report.Your stressed at that time to make ONE report. ONLY one.
Then you give info, what was taken, by whom, your alts, and verify your email.
Then nothing. No confermation that Gaia even got your email.
If you contact a Mod, response is often cool. they are busy, they have a lot of stuff to attend to. Yep.. wonder what they are questing?
Meanwhile here I am, giving donations to make this site better for years, and feeling like I've wasted my money.
I know what the people at Gaia can do, they can trace every trade, every gift, that was taken out of that account. It's pretty amazing in a way.
But I would have been happy if I had gotten a email, even an automated one, reassuring me that this theft would be looked into. That it will be dealt with, and that I should be paitent. I don't think thats much to ask. Why keep your members hanging when they are already upset and stressed because they were robbed?
The Mod's in the "Help" thread aren't much better. They remind me of teachers who have hung around too long and no longer care about the kids they are supposed to teach. They begin to treat the people they are supposed to look after like they are an unwanted burden.
I have to say the way I have been dealt with so far is somewhat disappointing. No donations this month. I wont support a website that lets this go on & with an attitude of "not our problem" because it is. Your the only authority here. The only ones we can count on when an injustice like this is done.
Come on Gaia. Don't let me down. Do something about it.
