Costumes help me express myself in this world. Whether it's fantasy or historic, I'll put it on and go out into the world. I always look forward to going to both the Reniassance and Dickens Faires, as well as other creative costume events such as the Handcar Regatta in Santa Rosa, CA.
I was very lucky to be able to ride friesians at a young age, and I am eternally thankful to be able to be in their presence. They are such beautiful horses.
Unfortunately, I have never owned a horse of my own due to finances. Money has been my greatest hurdle in life that I always struggle to overcome. I have earned my privileges through determination, intelligence, skills, and personality - NOT money.
Even though I don't show, I love riding horses, especially gaited horses. Saddleseat riding was wonderful. I would have continued in that discipline, but sadly I did not have the money for my own horse, I was not able to lease at that barn, and the lessons were geared towards showing. I don't like competition, and the saddleseat world reeks of it.
sad Right now I'm in dressage training, and quite enjoying it. I am also a certified riding instructor in both English and Western.
As for music, I prefer movie soundtracks, with my favourite composer being Danny Elfman. I also enjoy Broadway musicals, European (especially German) folk music, techno, remixes, historical folk, and marching ballads. I also indulge in a little industrial now and then. ^^; I detest rap.
Along with horses, history is my other great passion. One can often find me looming in the history sections of my school library, where I haunt the aisles silently. Colonial, Victorian, Edwardian, and the WW2 era are my main interests.
My Victorian Integra cosplay. Nearly all of my cosplay photos are taken by my own hand, and only very rarely can I get an actual photographer. I am rather new to anime cosplay, but as you may have gathered, I am no stranger to dressing up as various other characters.
