I work from home too. I babysit my nephew 3 days a week, sometimes more depending his parents' work schedule. Downside is, I'm sick, I got it from said nephew. lol
Oh man, YES Gaia has inflated tremendously. Your husband is so right though!
You COULD convert to Platinum, but I dunno, I tried for a day, and it made me feel like I lost more gold to platinum than anything if it makes sense. Gaia created the choice to turn your gold into platinum to make it easier to buy/sell things without all the extra zeros. But it isn't mathing for me. lol You can change it under account settings.
I'm so sorry for your loss. sad I can relate, I've lost two family members to cancer around Christmas time. It took me a long time, but honestly, it does get a BIT easier as each Holiday passes. It's bittersweet, but I try to look at it as they're always in our hearts, that kind of thing.
This year, I'm enjoying the now, trying to take it one day at a time, really. I find, it's easier to cope, and try to enjoy the little things.
I love Christmastime. Not for the gifts, but for the movies, the gathering of family, the food. Baking lol
