True, those are adds. But they're still for Gaia. They either redirect you to the store or to the donation page. It's not like someone else is making a profit off of it.

And I know they don't give to a charity or anything, but wouldn't you think keeping a popular site running would be a good thing? I've seen some great sites go under because people didn't donate (and they didn't have money for the server space otherwise) and some other sites become riddled with adds (really crappy/stupid adds I might say...) because people didn't donate.

So honestly, I think it's an accomplishment that they can get the money to run this site pretty much from the donation money. 3nodding Sure, some probably comes from the store too, but you have to pay whoever is making the merchandise for them also.

What have you been doing for work, if any, to keep some spare money in the bank for this?
And there are adds, when being redirected after posting in a forum. To the right. But it's not like you're giving to a charity. This place doesn't exactly brag that it donates some of it's profits or anything.

I don't have a credit card either, but I *do* have a PayPal account with a checking account. And the fact that I can use my debit card *like* a credit card. ^_^

I know, $10 does seem a little crazy, but it's all for a good cause. This site stays running because of the donation money. Notice how there are no adds?

Interesting idea.
But ten dollars on Gaia does seem a little out there to me. If you're having fun it's all good. But I don't have a way to easily buy the items I want. No credit card, etc. And mailing in is a hassle. I could have gotten the gift of the goddess to get the wings I need >< heh. Have a fun time in collegeness.

If I like the item I try to buy it so I don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of time questing for it later.

I know I went crazy one month and spent like $10 on donation items. It was December.... I wanted all 3 items and a double of one of them. sweatdrop

This month I only got one, and I didn't really want it all that much, I just figured that maybe I could use it later or sell it off if it gets some value along the road. Actually, I think I'll give it to one of my Mules... I dunno.
