It wasn't always like this...
I had a real life once, A job. A wonderful girlfriend. It all started when I drove to that cabin in the woods. Seems like an old archaeologist had come to this remote place to translate and study his latest find, The Necronomicon Ex Mortis. Roughly translated, "The Book of The Dead". Bound in human flesh and inked in blood, this ancient Sumerian text contained bizarre burial rites, funerary incantations and demon resurrection passages. It was never meant for the world of the living. The book awoke something dark in the woods. It took Linda, and then it came, for me. It got into my hand and it went bad, so I lopped it off at the wrist. But that didn't stop it. It came back. Big time.I found myself stranded in medieval England, where those prehistoric barbarians tried to kill me. Then they had the nerve to make me risk my own neck to retrieve the damned book that started it all. All in a days work. I kinda sorta didn't speak the incantation exactly right, and ended up awakening an army of the undead. But we killed them all, so it worked out just fine in the end.
That should have been the end of it right there, and the old man promised he could send me back to my own time, and my own world...
I ended up here somehow. Hey, I spoke the words right this time, really! More or less, at least. Seriously, it should have been good enough.
