Hey, I'm Ashley, I'm 22, I'm in college off and on.

I can classify myself as a nerd, I guess.
I have bookcases overflowing with all manners of literature, I read comics, I actually LIKE learning and going to school, I play kickball with a bunch of other drunken hooligans, and if I had the sewing n welding skills I would have a full steampunk wardrobe.

My life would suck if I didn't go camping and hiking at least every other weekend in the summer. and luckily where I live, you are never wanting for a good spot.

my music taste is all over the place, I'd be listening to james brown one day and MC chris the next. I make mix CDs for my friends as a hobby and I'm always looking for musical suggestions (and of course I'm always willing to dole out musical suggestions as well)

I've been doing some modeling on the side for over two years now. it doesn't pay the bills but it's a fun hobby that gives me some side cash every once in a while and some good pictures of me actually worth framing.

As for the teaching degree, you probably don't need to be an English major to teach high school English, but you'd need to take certain English course that could count as electives (I know a girl in my Dif Eqs class is going for her second degree now to teach in middle school but she still needs to take that course even if she has an accounting degree)... My last semester English professor was actually a former DA and thus had a degree in law but could still teach English at a college level after taking a couple extra classes, which means that you can get a more specified degree and still teach general subjects, which gives you more options, as most professors have a degree in something similar but different.

Whether photography can get you a job or not, you sure do photograph well ;P.
