I am 21 years of age and when I find myself bored with nothing to do I spend my time here, or on a site called neopets, or even facebook. I don't plan on spending /real/ money on a gaming site since I just play to relax from everyday life. A really random fact about me is that I'm rather addicted to my phone. I keep it with me almost all the time. I have three older sisters and three older brothers. Not to mention brother and sister in laws and half step brothers and sister. (Really complicated family. Trust me you don't wanna know.)I love anime, although I am just getting into it so there is a lot that I haven't heard of. Right now I'm watching Season 2 of the Black Butler. I caught up ahead with it, which I hate because I hate waiting. I absolutely loved Death Note. I don't hate Near, it's not that I like him either, I just think that people judge him too much because they like L so much. This is understandable because L was an awesome character, but I think Near could be a favorite too if just given the chance. I must admit though throughout the whole anime I was rooting for Light. Yes I know I'm bad. -slaps wrists- Mmm what else....one obsession that I have is Disney. I love all and anything Disney...except singers that shall remain nameless. I'm sorry, I'm 21, not 12 so I don't get hyped on underage kids talking/singing about love like they actually know what it is that they are singing about. (Sorry for the rant, I'm done now.) But yes, disney is my weakness. wink
Things that I watch on TV when I'm bored are House, Bones, NCIS (Abby is my favorite), and Glee. Yes I am a gleek, but I'm not ashamed of it. The music that they sing is rather good and it has a fairly good plot line...in most episodes. I don't really like watching much TV, but if I find myself bored at night these are the TV shows that I turn to first. I try to keep updated with them, but if I don't watch an episode or two, I won't get too upset over it. razz
I've just been getting into the vampire novels. I will only say this once. No I do not like Twilight, no I don't want to talk about Twilight. I have to put up enough with it from my friends and that's about all I can stand. Among vampire novels I really like almost any kind of fantasy novel, or romance (as long as it doesn't get too graphic). I'm still waiting for the 4th book of Eragon to come out and I will get it as soon as it does come out. I will lock myself in my room, not taking any calls or go on the internet until I finish reading it. This book will not be spoiled for me. I've waited too long. Normally I don't mind if someone gives me a spoiler, but I really want to find out what happens for myself knowing the whole plot and not just bits and pieces.
I don't really have a favorite band or a favorite genre of music. It's like asking someone who's their favorite child. Music is a very big part of my life. If I'm not singing, humming or dancing then I'm very sick. In fact I'm so sick that I need to be taken to the hospital like at that moment. 3nodding
No but for real now, I love music and there is always a song going on inside my head. (Just ask my coworkers, family members, and friends xd .) Actually on second thought don't ask them because that would be a little awkward, but you get the point. wink
It would be easier to tell you the music that I don't really care for. Those would be three genres: Rap, Country, and Techno. Now before you get all defensive I did say didn't really care for. I didn't use the word hate for the reasons being is that I do like some of the songs that fall under these genres. Rap: I don't like a lot of rap because
1. You can hardly understand what the 'artists' are 'singing'.
2. All I get is a beat. There is no harmonic melody, it's just rhythm. I get bored with it very easy. One main reason I love music so much is that it keeps my brain moving and it's constantly making me hear different things each time I hear it. I don't get that with most rap.
Country: It's just plain depressing. You know that country song that's called if you play a country song backwards? If not go to youtube now. wink Anywho it's right on the money. You get your wife back, you get your kids back, you get your house back ect. Another reason I don't like a lot of country artists is because their voice is very winey. I just don't enjoy listening to it at all.
And last but not least (maybe) is techno. The reason I don't like techno is because it is way too repetitive for me. Again I don't get that musical challenge I look for in music. It's the same rhythm over and over again and it becomes very dull and boring. It often tends to give me a headache too.
Well that's all my rants about what kind of music I don't like. razz
I have many interests and hobbies. I've played the flute since 5th grade and piano when I was 9. I don't play them much anymore, but I'm hoping to get back into them someday. I'd love to go to Japan, Ireland, and Hawaii some day. Japan: I just love the culture and I think it would give me a chance to learn more about different kind of people. What kind of things do they value. What would be something that would insult them, but I wouldn't think twice over. Those are things that interest me. Plus they are a culture that has been around for a very long time and is still going strong. Ireland: I have a big part of Irish in me and again I would just like to go and get to know the culture. I don't really know anything about part of my heritage there and I would like to know more. It's easier and a lot more fun when you get to go there first hand. Plus I'm a hands on kind of learner anyway =P. Hawaii: I've never been there even though I live in the United States. I've been to all the states minus Hawaii and Alaska. Plus Hawaii is where my parents went for their honeymoon. I think it would just be a cool place to visit. Well I think that's enough about me for now.
