Miss Mandy,

you are having doubts, and they are ridiculous. You aren't going to lose anything when you go. We can send each other emails on Thursday about our friends, and we can destress through them. I agree that dreams to change, but I believe whole-heartedly that you are supposed to go to Florida. Do you want to know why? Well, for one, it isn't the first time you've received this internship, and I think God is saying that you should take this offer up this time. Secondly, God has plans for everyone, even non-believers. When all you wanted was a job, you wanted to go to Florida, and that desire hasn't left you. I think God placed it in you because you are supposed to go. Everything is in his hand, so try to not worry so much about it anymore. Yes, it is scary, but it is something that you should do. On the flip side, if it turns out to be not so great down there, you will have your Christian support group, so you will be surrounded by a good influence all the time anyway. Don't be scared, or try to not be scared. Yes, you are leaving, but we, your friends, are always going to be here for you waiting for you to come home and tell us your adventure stories. I'm going to miss you like crazy, but we're going to email each other, message each other, and you promised to write to me! Things will work out. Have faith, put on the armor of God to push away your fears, and walk forward! You can do this! I'll see you after break, and we can talk more! Are you coming down here tomorrow for the party? If not, I'll see you on Monday. I love you!

Jessica, you are truly amazing. I have not been on here for almost two-three weeks and I just got your messages. They absolutely made my night. I love you too, so incredibly a lot that you just are I cannot even put it into words. Mandy is speechless. Hehe. Mandy! How goes the car search? How is work and how are your friends at work? I just wanted to tell you that you are so brave for writing that note on facebook. I may respond to it. It just goes back to Pursuit, when I said that we should all be honest with each other so that we can help each other out, and I'm so glad that you're doing that. Personally, your note hits home. You know that I have bulimia and BDD, but it's gotten bad again in the last couple of weeks. I am really struggling with so many issues right now, and I actually haven't answered my phone or used it to contact people for a full week now. I have been so down. Actually, I know exactly what you mean by thinspiration and pro-ana sites. I have two of them as favorites saved on my computer, and I"m not afraid to tell you that. I'm going to get rid of them. For me, controlling my body was just about having control over something when I felt as though I didn't have any anywhere else in my life. The media has played a major role in how I view myself, and it stinks royally. I need some major help to get over that. Please contact me soon. love you, jess

Mandy, your last comment feels as though I wrote most of it. For some reason, these last couple of days have put me into a slight depression. I think part of it is that I am not getting into shape, and it's really bugging me, and I think another part of it is that my friend LeAnn is a real downer. Don't get me wrong; she's my friend and I love her, but she isn't a Christian and she doesn't want me to even talk about it, which is so hard! All that she wants to talk about are boys and drinking, and I really can't talk to her about those things. Please pray for patience for me for her, and please pray that she comes to know God. You have been on my heart lately, and I somehow knew that you would be needing prayer. I am praying for you, your friends, and your home life. How are your parents anyways? Do you still talk to Zaki, or is that too hard to talk about? I just want you to be happy and know that you are loved and are a beautiful woman. Seriously, you are like a little ray of sunshine to me. Yeah, that was cliched, but I don't care! It's true; you are like a bit of sun. I'm so glad that work is getting better for you! It's awesome that you are building friendships in your work. You don't have to let them go. Why would you have to let your summer work friends go? You're in the middle of Eclipse; that's awesome. That's my favorite out of the three. I have to be honest with you; I'm a Jacob fan. I really wish she'd choose him over Edward, but I truly don't think that will happen. I joined the "Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse" guild on here. Are you a member? If not, you should join too. Mandy, just give every thing to God; all your desires, sadness, and sins. He knows them all, and He is looking to give His love and forgiveness to you; you just have to let Him in. I have to do the same thing. As I've started reading "Captivating," I've started to realize that even though I made myself really vulnerable during Pursuit; I still thought that I didn't have to give everything to God. I thought I had to bear it, but I don't have to and neither do you, because when we give everything to God the yoke is easy and the burden is light. Who really wants to suffer anyway?! So cheer up Miss Mandy and know that God loves you, all of you, and I love you too.

I'm sorry it's been a while since I've messaged you. I've been so busy on the farm with my dad. Yesterday, we fixed a 3 point baling spear for his baler so that he could pick up his hay bales. It worked! We were both excited. I've been doing odd jobs on the farm that leave me tired, so I normally go to sleep when I get home. How are you doing? How is work? How is curves going? I have great news for you. Do you remember Brandon? He's my best guy friend from high school that we were praying for all year. He called me a few nights ago because he felt as though he was supposed to call me. This leads me to believe that he has some spiritual gifts that he doesn't really understand. He told me that he gets urges to do things and talk to people, and he knows that it's the right thing to do, which leads me to believe that God is totally working in his life. It's so exciting!!! We talked for almost two hours on the phone; seriously, it was 1 hour and 45 minutes. We're going to the Omaha Zoo on the fourth of July, and I know some great conversations are going to happen, and I would love it if you would pray for me for that adventure. Oh, I'm reading Captivating. I just started, but it's pretty amazing so far. I miss you Miss Mandy!

Oh, I was referring to our combined plan of getting into shape this summer. Are you walking a lot, like you said you were going to do? My body problem is not improving. There's so much stress at home, and it only makes things worse. Pursuit has given me strength though, and I know I can work through this summer's problems. My family is so lost and angry with God. It breaks my heart and makes my eye twitch. Yeah, really. My right eye twitches when I"m stressed and/or really upset, and it's been twitching constantly since I've been home. My friend Happy has her final hearing to decide if she can have custody of her son on June 23, so you could be praying with me on that one. I think that shared custody would be best for the baby, and I do hope that things work out that way. I think and talk about you a lot. Yesterday, I was trying to describe/explain you to my brother, but I just couldn't do you justice. What happened with Old Navy? I thought you loved your job. Have you had any luck with finding a job at a day care? I'll be praying for your job search and your friends. A lot of my friends here aren't Christian, and I don't know if they are searching. I hope they come to God. Ummm...When we get together this summer, it will have to be after the 23, because I have to be there for Happy, and I'm busy almost every day with dad and farm stuff. In a minute, we're going to get some gas for the mowers and do some mowing. It's fun actually. Dad has a couple of riding mowers that we use for the farm, and they're not hard to manage. Get back to me on your job situation, friends, and your exercise plan and we'll hash out a time when we can meet. Wow, I wrote you an epic comment...cool! I miss you, and I'm praying for you daily. love ya kind of a lot!
