The Sandmans Illusion

i was living in a dream

but as i wake from my slumber

reality hits me

like a punch to the face, distaste

my minds eye opens and for a time

i can see clearly,

hear me.

my lord saves, paves a road to the rest of my life,

windy it lays as i look afar and realize my destination.

destiny troubles me emphatically.

lights on, sounds off systematically.

i cannot express the feelings ive come to see

but i fear life is dashing towards me.

ignore me, bore me,

four score three years ago my ancestors made me,

as i wake at this moment to realize reality,

fixation, deprivation.

we all live in this world that creates injustices,

trust us, we do not lie to you as he.

other worlds gaze at us and ponder dogmatically.

emphatically i walk out to witness a light i have never experienced,

a bright lamp in the sky seething my skin

as i run in fear of it.

on my person, distortion, my mind cannot conceive.

i have turned into this man

i have never before seen.

whats his name? whats his purpose?

neither i can believe.

until God comes down and tells me-

he is me.
