Private message. XD That's okay though a lot of people don't know what it means.
I'm used to other mail terms (or I was anyway) so I'm in yer shoes. D8
Roleplaying is... Basically writing a story with a person.
And yet again not.
It's not writing one in the sense of continuation, rather then more... Kinda... Interactive?
What I mean is, let's say you want to roleplay with me for instance. We'd think of a genre first. I usually do medieval fantasy so I'll use that as an example. Then we'd think of a setting that would be a place to start at. In this case let's say a market. In other ones you'd use a plot as sort of an outline of what the roleplay would be about, but I usually just skip plots as they get boring after a while for me. The next thing we'd do was make up a character and then an intro after we chose who'd post first. After whoever had with their character's description of appearance and what they're doing currently, the other would do the same and usually try to tie in a way for the characters to meet (for example ask the other character a question for directions or something.). And then it'd continue on from there. One person would post and the other would post as well and it would continue on, though like I said you wouldn't continue another person's post, it would be a response to the others. So if my character lets say asked your character something, your post would consist of an answer or perhaps your character ignoring but a little bit more detailed then "He/She ignored him/her.".
