Backgrounds and also lighting are ur besties. Think of it this way: You are painting a scene instead of making an avatar for a site- When an artist does a full render of a character they're usually standing somewhere and not the void right? Use that idea and you'll get a lot farther in your creation. Think of it as your accent piece rather than a stagnant setting. Color schemes like demure usually have backgrounds dipped in their colorways too. The BG I'm using is a variant on elf reflection which has a LOT of fun colors + the background has some pretty lighting effects so it's one of my FAVORITE nature bgs. There are also some static floor options such as Olde World Floor that you can use in combination with the Simple backgrounds from Barton Boutique to create interesting indoor scenes if you wanted to decorate the walls yourself ;o

Man your design for the pirate on runway was SO good, he has so much aura- however I will reveal a weird unspoken rule about runway: U need a background or no one will vote for you because they don't think u put in effort for some reason. I am here 2 impart upon thee my Favorite Guides Ever To hopefully help you on your building journey bc I see dress up potential in u and want you to have fun heart
