I am a mature Gaian living in the Pikes Peak country of southern Colorado. I'm a wife and a mother. I am also a homesteader. I'm on 5 1/2 acres of very challenging scrub country. I truly love to hear from others who are also homesteading or on their parent's holdings. If you have questions, I'll try to answer them.

I am now back after an absence of two years. When Fishing was taken down in 2015, many of us thought that it was never coming back. I know that I tossed everything in the dumpster and left. With the return of Fishing, the docks have called me back.

Here on Gaia, I primarily fish. I play a couple of other games such as Tiles and Word Bump.

How is you Gardening going now ?

I am now Looking after my Late Parents Flat . And my Cactus Collection in now all in one place now in a Brand new Greenhouse , and not in three places 😆

I got a Very Good crop of potatoes 🥔 earlier this year , from a V small raised border . Enough to feed my Neighbour's family for at least a months . I've also planted and Apple Tree and various other Trees 🌳 in the Garden . We finaly finished the Garden fence too .

I've been fishing, it's not the same cause rooms are empty, at least the times I fish. Roku was asking about you so I hope you'll catch up with her too. Take Care and keep me updated.

So, will find out if he'll be allowed through to work on a project that is of emergency equipment for Estes Park. Probably not though. Gosh this has been a frightening summer.
ozkur Report | 10/21/2020 3:12 am: It's a bit troublesome yes...Not so much for us here at the ranch. Hubby's work takes him right in that vicinity. He said that due to the ash it almost looks like snow falling. I do hope that we get a good amount of snow from these storms, for sure.

ozkur Report | 10/05/2020 4:25 am: The fire that's close is the Williams Fork Fire. Practically out the back door, although hubby says it's still far away. With all the downed trees and new ones growing, makes for a real tinder box should the winds change.
ozkur Report | 10/04/2020 2:30 am: Well hello there. emotion_hug Thank you for your concern. Yes the fire is close to us, tho the pre-evacuation order has been lifted. Just really smokey due to the other fires more north. Really scary to have seen it from the back 40 the day it really blew up and the planes dumping fire retardant. Hope we'll get some rain or snow soon. That last bit helped to a degree but the winds don't help.
Are you getting any of the smoke down your way?
