I see them all, rising above me, I reach out my hand but no one see's me
i call out, but those who hear do not hear
I stand among them, they whiz by, I hear there voices I feel there breath, but when I reach out, my hand returns covered in burns
I am floating, floating towards darkness, I strain for the light but I am to far down
my body is submerged as though in muck
I sink to my waist but there I stop
there are others falling down, I see them, I call out to them, go back. the light is there U can reach it! I tell them this, and even though it maybe to late for me, my heart goes out to them, and I cry bring them to the light, I shoulder there burdens so they may float, so they may rise above this inky blackness that consumes me and seeks to make me its own, but in helping those who fall I have gained a purpose and so I shall not sink, but in shouldering there burdens I cannot rise, so here I remain, in this inky pit of blackness, it seems that I shall wait here forever, for the 3 times mark has been hit,3 times I have tried to rise,3 times I have been kicked back down by those I sought to bring up, but I bear no grudge against them, as long as my work is not in vain and that they may rise, the hurt, the suffering, it is all worthwhile, there is no one who can bring me up except …
