Encrypted BasicsThe Cicada Noise is a sentient being that roams the vast expanses of the internet at night, seeking lost souls, wayward children, and filthy yaoi smut. It is rumored that this creature exists in two forms: corporeal, in which it appears as a twenty-six year old female, and astral, where it is male (and seems to be very well endowed in certain... places). When asked its gender, the Cicada Noise claims itself to be male. It appears to have a pale complexion with brown hair and hazel eyes, but this may simply be a glamour used to disguise its true form. The Cicada Noise is not a member of any scientifically recognized species, but has a strong affinity for cats.

Hey there! The name's Jesse. I'm a twenty-six-year-old transman - that is, I'm transgendered, born physically female but male in spirit - living in California with more cats than I care to count (most are pets, but others are fosters or neighborhood strays). I work as an in-home caregiver.
I originally joined Gaia back in 2003, but stopped playing after just a few days - none of my friends were on the site, so I got bored. XD But late in 2008, a close friend got me to give Gaia a second chance, and now I'm hooked. God damn you, Meg.
Hobbies and Interests
I'm actually a fairly typical Cancer - artistic and expressive, but highly introverted and not given to letting people in easily. I draw, but nearly as often as I should; my style is anime-influenced and my subjects, aside from fanart, include original character art and fantasy creatures. I'm fond of drawing Pokemon. XD I also enjoy writing - specifically, roleplaying - as a form of emotional release and creative catharsis.
My less productive passtimes include reading manga, watching anime, playing videogames, and following programs like Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, and House (I also like documentaries on such topics as cryptozoology, forensics, pathology, and pretty much anything in the National Geographic range). Oh, and I love music. :3
Online, I can primarily be found on LiveJournal and Neopets (shaddap, I like the games), or roleplaying via instant messenger or email. And speaking of roleplaying...

Interested in RPing with me? Awesome! ;D I swear I'm a nice guy, but I do have some basic requirements. You must have good grammar and spelling, write in third person, past tense (that's "novel style" to most of us), and be able to give me at least two paragraphs per post, more if the scene calls for it.

I mostly RP my already-established characters with a close friend, but I primarily like fantasy RP. * u* I play D&D with my friends irl every Friday, but that's a new thing we just started doing a year ago. I really like final fantasy-esque universes, but hell, I RPed Naruto fan-verse for a few years with friends. (LOL my squad was like...two fags and their female best friend. It was fun.) I like pirates, so I guess you could say I also like historical fiction.
