About

When I gazed straight into his eyes, I saw nothing. They where like two black holes planted on a face. There was life in him but his mind was lost. I was frightened, I wanted to run, run as far as I could but I knew I couldnt leave him there. I had to stay as much as it killed me inside.

~~~~~~~
What a lovely morning?
Maria awoke to the alarm clock ringing in her ear. Morning was not her time of day so she ignored the first tedious rings and continued to sleep and allowed it to go to snooze. When the second ring came around, she groaned and one eye lazily blinked open, she directed her had to the clock and smacked the off button before opening her other eye. She lay there for a moment, both eyes barely open almost still dreaming. She was welcomed by the sweet auroma of coffee from down stairs that lifted her out of bed and she sat up. She lazily found her self to her drawer and slipped on a white tank top and over it a light cartigan with skinny jeans and and grabbed her white running shoes. She slipped her feet into her fuzzy blue slippers and made her trek downstairs.
She was greeted by her father with a small cup of coffee in one hand and todays news in the other and her mother at the stove cooking rice and eggs. She sat down at her usaual seat where the usual cup of joe, just like her father, sat waiting for her. She picked up the small cup and before taking a sip looked over at the empty chair beside here where a rose lay and smiled.
"So where are you planning to go today, Maria." Her mother asked in her thick Puerto Rican accent, she was still learning english so it was a bit broken. "I dont know Mama." Maria shrugged looking over at her mother now. "I think Ill go over to a friends house, or take a walk in the park."
"Don't forget to be careful in this neighborhood..." Her father began, his english was a bit better because he had come here a bit earlier then the both of them (Maria was young when she came here, so her english was the best of them all).
"I know, Papa. You remind me everyday." Maria sighed taking another sip.
"Well every since your sist..."
"Please, just don't. I dont want to hear it." She interupted her father again.
Not another word was spoken until breakfast was completed and Maria was heading for the door.
"Te quiero{I Love You}" Maria said with a smile as she headed for the door.
"Be careful!" Her father warned her one last time before she was out in the chilly december air
Maria walked down the sidewalk with a slight skip in her heal. She had so much to be happy about. The birds still where out and chirping and the warm sun still blessed her face even if the chilly air still stung her face. It always made her feel as though her sister was watching her as she happily walked around the dangerous city streets.
Is everybody in?
Lucy sat on her bed, looking up with her one leg propped up on the others knee. She sighed as she gawked at the ceiling, she basically just was counting every last crack and water stain on the old and plastered interior. She had her mom’s old record player on, it was the only thing she had left of her and her family.
She stretched her hands out and placed them behind her head and then, closed her soft, blue eyes. She said nothing but her thoughts ran wild and free in a blur of confusion, she wasn’t even there a day with out making a fool of herself. She still couldn’t believe she was arguing about how much rap sucked with some random student the first day she was here. She knew from the start it would be hard for her to make friends, but this just made it even harder.
She looked down on herself, at all her hippy attire. Her green tie-dye shirt with matching pants, she even strained her eyes to look up at her Native American style headband that held back her long dirty blonde hair. She loved being different, but sometimes it would just kill her inside, but she never told any one how she felt. To her, her feelings didn’t matter as much as other peoples, she always thought she should care more about other people and never just herself.
She squeezed her eyes hard together as the poets voice came on the record player.
"Is everybody in?
Is everybody in?
Is everybody in?"
She listened harder, though the person was long dead, the voice was very much alive.
"The ceremony is about to begin,
WAKE UP!"
Lucy jumped a bit as he yelled, it actually caused her heart to skip, but her eyes stayed firmly shut.
"You cant remember where it was,
Has this dream stopped?"
A small tear streamed down like a single raindrop on Lucy's cheek. She focused her eyes more on the back of her eyelids, and before long she had lost all focus and had drifted off.
The Price of Freedon
Opening her eyes she looked down on an assortment of rusty and dated medical tools. Lined before her were a scalpel, bandages, a sewing needle and thread, and a needle full of Novocain. She picked up the medical needle, and inserted it into her right arm; slowly she injected the painkiller into her arm. She took a deep breath and took the needle out of her skin, placing it down, she peered outside the ally onto the street from the large box she was hiding in, she wanted to make sure no one was about to either walk by or into the alley. She leaned back into the box and looked down at the scalp as her right arm had slowly lost all feeling, she picked up the scalpel and sighed.
She leaned back even more to give herself more room and she propped up her now completely numb right arm on her left knee. Talking another moment she held up the scalpel and examined it, moving it around in her hand and making sure it gleamed in the little light that peered into the closed box. She looked at her arm, right at a small scar left their from long ago, clenching her teeth together, she dug the scalpel into her skin. She pushed up against the box harder trying to keep herself from screaming out in agony as she dug the tool deeper into her arm. And although she had been sedated, the pain still crept into each vein causing her to tear up and whimper. She felt a small bit of blood trickled down her arm and splatter onto the floor, soon she felt more blood pour out of the open wound and make a small puddle on the floor, she knew if she didn’t finish up fast all her blood would end up before her. Opening one eye, she slowly looked down to see into the vertical cut in her arm; she quickly looked up as she noticed the white of her bone. The pain set into her nerves more causing her to bite her lip so hard, it began to bleed as well. She looked down again, forcing herself to keep both eyes on the gash; she looked down on the insides of her arm, the veins, the muscles, and the bone. She moved the scalpel a bit out of the way to get a better view; she was searching for an item inside her arm, a shinny and man made one. She moved her arm into the little crack of light and something metallic caught her eye, she had found it. Placing down the blood scalpel she could feel herself becoming dizzy, she quickly picked up the tweezers and looked inside at the tiny metal object. She took the tweezers and slowly began to pull, no yank, the object from her arm. She kicked and let out a small squeal in pain when she fully yanked out the object along with one of her nerves. Throwing down the tweezers, she held down her arm to keep herself from pulling back as she took the needle and thread. Looking with one eye and biting her lip even harder, she jabbed the needle into her skin and began to sew the slit in her skin closed. She tied a knot at the end the bit the remaining string off. Placing down the bloody sewing needle, she picked up the bandages and wrapped it around her arm tightly. She relaxed a bit and loosed the bight on her lip that now gushed blood.
It was over.
She closed her eyes and still trying to keep herself from screaming, picked up the first needle. There was still a bit of Novocain left, placing it in her arm again she inserted more into her body.
When her right arm was numb again, she fully opened her eyes and looked down at the thing she had pulled out of her arm. She was surprised at how small it was, she picked it up to look at it closer, she went through all that trouble to get a small chip that had a few numbers inscribed into its core. She threw it down and stepped on it, crushing it into tiny different bits and pieces. “Well at least I’m free, I’m not a number any more,” She sighed leaning back and closing her eyes again. “I’m once again, Lucille Skye Diamante.”
You're welcome!! I wish there were good roleplays around here.
I was in a great guild roleplay set in an asylum for girls.
It was weird and lasted almost 2 years. It recently died. sad
Thank you! It's made from my personality, eyes, and a book title. biggrin
