Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar’s influence on Rome, and his power that made him, the most, well-known leader in Rome started, Around 100 B.C (some say 102 B.C). Apparently, they said , he was poor. That his aunt married, some rich fellow, named Gaius Marius. So, of course as now part of the family, he helped. He took care of them, bought them A Huge apartment, and took care of Julius.
Before, Julius and His family enjoyed peace. Gaius had an Enemy, His name was, Lucius Cornelius Sulla. Sulla, was planning to fight, The king of Pontus Asia Minor [Which you know as today, Turkey]. And since they were Archenemies, Marius decided, to get out of retirement, to persuade the Senates that he’s a better person for this job. He was able, to convince them to let him do that. And so with that, When Sulla heard this of course, he was Mad. And he wasn’t going to let Marius smooth talk the Senates. So he decided to lead his troops back to Rome, and made Marius and also, his followers flee.
So now Sulla, was back in control, Eventually because of this he became a Dictator, A Dictator controlled the senates, So Sulla departed, and took his Troops, and went back to Pontus. When, Sulla left, Marius went back to Rome. So eventually, Marius teamed up with Caesar’s Father in law, Lucius Cornelius Cinna. Since they worked so well together, they took Sulla’s supporters and made them, join them. Soon after, they won the Consul Marius died 2 days Later. Because of that, Cinna was in charge but he Died, 2 years later.
Thus, after the War, Sulla returns. He realize that Marius died. So Obviously, Julius became the obvious target. So Julius went in disguised left Rome, and trained with the Military. After Sulla died he returned, he wanted to be a Politician now. Caesar, was great with his words, so he was an legal advocate, [he, basically spoke, argue, like a lawyer]. He prosecuted, former governors notorious for extortion and corruptions. He was so good at preventing people from going to jail,
