The rain falls gently upon the earth
Leaving only a ripple to show where it was.

The clouds above float effortlessly
Moving slowly without regard for things below.

The leaves bend where the water strikes,
The plants bend where the wind flows.

Everything seems to be falling down.
When it rains here, it pours.

Then the clouds pass on, releasing the sky from its hold,
To show the fading sun and rising moon.

The night falls and a silent starry night is all that can be seen
The slim crescent the brightest of lights.

A peaceful quiet has come over the world
Not a single thing moves.

This wondrous peace that has enveloped the landscape
Exists only to be destroyed come the sunrise.
