Emilio Juarez (J pronounced as an H) was a 17 year old boy who was kidnapped from his country of Mexico and left orphaned. He died after being infected with the mutated strain of Kyriaki when Derek Stiles could not rescue him. He was cared for by his personal nurse and caretaker Heather Ross and resided in Elysium hospital.
Emilio Juarez was abducted from his homeland of Mexico as a child and used by the terrorist organization Delphi as a GUILT incubator, also referred to as Sinners. The GUILT in Emilio's body lay dormant, and was eradicated by Doctor Derek Stiles during a raid of Delphi's headquarters.

Three years after curing Emilio of his GUILT, Derek treats Emilio's case of PGS and performs a liver transplant on Emilio, who's liver was severely damaged due to a case of PGS-induced hepatitis. During the liver transplant Derek encounters the Nous form of Neo-GUILT.
Emilio Jaurez died after being infected by the mutated strain of Kyriaki. He sacrificed his life for Heather claiming he had GUILT antibodies that would make him less prone to death. Derek's over-confidence in his power, the Healing Touch also contributed to Emilio's death when Derek treated three others before Emilio. Although all of his co-workers agree that he made the right call, his guilt for Emilio's death leads to his collapse and loss of the Healing Touch. ]
