My Poem ~ Written by... Me!

Darker and deeper than the bottom of the ocean
My heart is hidden deep within my soul

The stormy clouds relentlessly repel the the sunlight
over the churning seas below

The seas become calm and placid
The winds begin to slow

A tiny ray of light breaks from the shady clouds
and pierces the ocean flow

What is this light?
It sears the calm seas with such vigor
Carefully searching, deeper and deeper

Aquatic life stirs alarmed by this ray of hope
Watching, waiting, wondering where the ray will aim
Curious, cautious, and carefully moving allowing it to find its path

Only to find the ray pierce the darkest depths
Finding where my heart had slept.
