The plot and the writing are awful.

BUT Carmine is adorable. And despite the bad writing he acts pretty well. Plus, he's only wearing a shirt about 50% of the time, which, well, boosts the movie's caliber just a little bit. And he's such a lovable idiot in it. You want to hit him in his head and then love him forever and ever.

Oh, but the ending was a bummer. I cried a little. sad
