Tell me about it. The college of physicians and surgeons is coming top down on us to curb the opioid crisis. Except we're getting the bottom view of patients who are reliant on high doses for pain and we're telling them we have to take away what relief they get at risk of losing our license. Euck. The only ones I'm really comfortable with is codeine and tramadol. And they do crap all.
LOLOL. At least it wasn't acids.
And oi, my brain's crap these days. I forget a lot of things. I forgot to put my car in 'drive' shift today when I was leaving... Got half way down the highway before realizing...
I'm on chronic pain right now. I'm being slayed. I've never seen such complicated patients outside of 90+ year olds. So many drugs. Everywhere. Addictions everywhere. DDDDX It's fun though. I got to inject someone's epidural. Didn't even make them bleed, ha!
Tell me about it. Electives for me are charged 150-250 per application. Per application. Even if they tell me, oop,s we're full, no refunds. Literally 500+ per 2 week elective period just to apply, travel costs not included.
Are you still at home/in Hamilton then? At least saving on rent and etc? Adulting sucks Dx
Nice biggrin I miss having a social life >_< To be fair, I think the hardest I ever worked was in high school...hah...
Yeah, part of it. OB is very life and death when it gets bad, so they're tough people who can call decisions fast. But a large number of the other ones I met have been bad tempered who scream at us when we do something wrong. So that too.
Nice nice. How many exams to get through? (Also, does it feel like the licensing exams are just a way to make us hemorrhage money?)
Pharmacy treating you well then XD Yeah, 24hr calls were pretty rough, but I love babies and I love working with pregnant women, so it wasn't bad. Good learning. People were all super nice, I was surprised. OB nurses are the scariest people I've ever met outside of this rotation. How long do you have left on school?

Wish I still could x_x Rent is just extra headadche. Paying bills is the only part of adulthood I'm experiencing so far. Not impressed, gotta say.
What else complicates you?
