yes the base models did only have the 5 speed trannies in them but. when the 2002 models came out, the put the extra gear in cause if the upgraded engine like the integra's 1.6 vtec i believe to the 2.0 vtec.
yea im running stock shocks only tweaked to be stiffer than normal. I ripped out the trunk lining and added a carbon fiber trunk to make it lighter. Also i added a weight kit to the front to add pressure to the front tires so it would swing out.
took down my take off timing but it was worth it.

the RSX base comes with a 6 sp transmission standard so does the Rsx-s. instead of the 2.0 vtec that comes off the line i have a rebuilt 2.6 vtec from the 2007 model the tranny i dont really know where it came from. But it was built for speed when i bought it.
But every thing besides the custom parts on the car is stock. gearshift, steering, an shocks. and u do have a point about under steering but the weight placement kit i installed makes up for it. the last thing I need to do is put it on the dyno and tweak the ratios.
