Cabal glares at the bird out of the corner of his eye. "If one of those end up cursed, we're paying a visit to the taxidermist," he tells it as it nervously fluffs up.
He sighs. "I don't think it's any of my neighbors... Hopefully..."
He shrugs, shaking his head. "It'll be taken care of."

The crow lands neatly on Cabal's shoulder, giving him a cheerful "Kronk!" in greeting.
The necromancer sighs as he scratches its chest, watching as Karu and Topher walk up.
"Had to go bringing trouble with you, didn't you?" he asks it. "Kronk!"

Crow flaps up to the pair, the bead still in it's beak.
"Krnf!" It drops the bead at Karu's feet, nudging it towards her.
(Fox mama?) it asks happily.

It turns it's head to the distance, kronking softly to itself.

Crow takes the bead to its nest to admire. (Shiny, shiny, shiny) it sings happily.
Meanwhile the Necromancer raises an eyebrow to the intruder in the grave he's been digging up.
"Come here you," he says, pulling Topher out gently by the scuff of his neck.
"You'll make the walls collapse if you're wiggling under there."
With a slight air of exasperation, he climbs high enough to set Topher safely back out.
"Shoo," Cabal tells him as he drops back down.

Crow and Topher dig around, coming across the occasional ring, broken bead, or coin.
(Shinies!) The crow squawks (Shinies for Pale Man!)
It eyes a particularly fetching plastic bead, admiring the color.
(Pretty...) it kronks enviously.

(Yes! Pale Man dig a lot. No take shinies. But Crow sees shinies a lot on meat. Yes,) it says, giving the impression it was dropped a bit too early out of the nest as a chick.

It hops down from the door knob, looking up at it with greedy eyes.
(Not know where to find shinies... Valley big... Other nests far away.)

Crow kronks happily, oblivious. (Okay, okay! Pale Man play. But can't play. Need shinies...)
It thinks, a process that, had it been a computer or some such, would cause a small fire and massive reprogramming.
(Shinies... Maybe Pale Man lost shinies. Yes... Look in Pale Man's nest. Find his shinies. Give them back!) it kronks, flapping up to Cabal's front door and landing on the knob, turning it with its weight.

(Pale Man not like when Crow takes his shiny... Got shiny from Sir Fluffyface's Mistress. Pretty! Keep in Crow's nest. Crow like it. Keep to give to Pale Man.)
It lets out a loud kronk. (Shiny get Crow in trouble. But Crow like.)
