But without her suit, she is very sexy (I agree, but not my words, all of my buddies who like Metroid have either her or Rundas as their fave character) and very nimble. If she knew where peoples pressure points were, she could qualify as a ninja. But Mario needs mushrooms (lol, druggie) or another power-up to stand a chance against most large enemies (or would if they weren't so stupid and/or dampened). Has Mario ever come across something as weird (weird, deadly, other bad things, etc) as Phazon? I thought not. And of course Mario is gonna have cameos, he was one of the original video game characters. Only beaten by Packman and Jumpman (who is really Mario's first appearance)
... You have no clue how many gigantic and epicly LETHAL monsters Samus has faced. But have all of the games been related? Or have most of them been spin-off series or just unsuccessful/awful *cough cough Mario Paint cough*. What gigantic things has Mario faced, Bowser (not really giant), Petey Piranha, and Wriggler (that giant worm thing, if thats how its spelt), and thats about all of them. Ridley, Kraid, Mecha Ridley [different being from Ridley's line], Parasite Queen, Meta/Omega Ridley, the Omega Pirate, Mua, Thardus Flaagra, Harvester Drone, Quadraxis, and the Metroid Prime itself. Not to mention the biggest butthole of all, Dark Samus (believed to be the Metroid Prime [and not from Fanfic and there are more Metroid Primes {all dead} but only one Dark Samus]) And do I really have to list more? One thing is certain, both of them kick MC (Master Cheif)'s sorry arse.
In Brawl, I use Fox McCloud, Ike, Snake, and Samus (easily replaced with Wind Waker Link or Lucario)
And one last thing, the Mario franchise is dying out. Metroid still is kicking, is making a new game, and remade the two games for the GameCube to the Wii. It sold more then any two of the four Prime games (Pinball not included and Metroid Prime Hunters wasn't a fully cannon game [No one is sure where to place it in the Prime Family's timeline.
It isn't too late to become a Metroid or even Zelda (who recently released Spirit Tracks for the DS/DSi) fan.
Do you have any idea how many weapons Samus has? I don't either, thats how many, and I'm a seasoned Metroid fan. Mario only has a handful, and only one is long range (Fireballs). One Super Missile and Mario is dead. Or how about a headshot with the Nova Beam? Either way, Mario is done. If you were to level the playing field by putting a dampener on Samus's weapon power, then its all up to their strategy. They tie in that 98% of the time.
