I would like to take a moment to say goodbye to a dear friend... Reo. She was a gentle spirit, faithful friend. Reo is/was the last link to my son's childhood. He was her boy pet. He was 12 or so when his dad brought Reo home for him. A 4th of July puppy.. & oh my did she set off fireworks in my son's eyes. He needed a big dog to romp & play with.
As my son aged... so did Reo.

And on Sunday, August 12, 2007 Reo died here at home.

My Furever Friend

I know it must be different now, that I am no longer here.
I can see how much I was loved and how all of you did care.
It will be hard at first when you look around for me,
hoping to find me lying on my bed, or outside by my favorite tree.
But someday what you will see, although it'll take some time,
is that you brought happiness to me and forever it will be mine.
Remember, it's the family I had, that meant the most to me, so please don't be sad, it was just my time to leave.
