So. Who am I?

Well, my name is Kiya. Yes, really. My mom got it from the movie "Willow", and it's the name of a small person's wife, who is also a small person. She thinks I'm short (I'm 5'4", darn you! D: ), and I blame my name.

My name's also from a Bob Marley song, but it's spelled differently in African (and it means "the changing of seasons" wink .

It's an abbreviation for "she who arranges rocks" in Navajo, or at least according to those American Girl stories.

It also means something in Japanese, I'm fairly sure. XD The spelling of my name is the Japanese spelling.

Oh, right. But me. Like what I like and all that jazz.

Um. Well. Let's use the facts, I suppose, yes?

I'm sixteen. Yes, you're shocked. I know. ;--)

I'm top of my class. Literally. I have a 4.67 GPA, I take College classes over the summer, I got a 5 on my last AP exam. I have a nose piercing. I'm the lead designer for my high school literary magazine, The Centinel. I have political opinions. I want to travel. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. I love writing, and I love wolves. I've recently gotten into the Steampunk sub-genre. I love orange. I'm odd. Adults tend to be pleasantly surprised with me, in general, and teens my own age don't really know what to think of me. (It's true! XD) I think I want to be a writer, but I'm not sure. I love Photoshop. I like choppy sentences, too. They're fun. And to the point. And project a funky mood, yo.

Yay!

My mom read me all the Laura Ingels books when I was little and I read them again on my own when I got older. I always used to pretend that I had a time machine and could go visit her and then take her into my time and show her modern life. If you've ever read some of her later memoirs and such, she was still getting excited about all the new inventions and such when she was a really old lady.

OK... I got a scholarship from my stepdad's company to go to Germany for four weeks (I didn't know any German before the frantic studying before I went there, mind you) and afterwards my grades went down majorly because I got so bored of school - but I had had straight As so it really wasn't THAT bad. Backpacking through Europe is totally one of my life goals. I want to go everywhere. I had some major senioritis this past year. It was bad.

But school used to be something I went all OCD about and adventure and all that I just read about in books. Now I've evolved into someone completely different, and am working on becoming even more of who I want to be. I want adventure and who I want to be knows how to find it. User Image

I was in a high school chalk-full of overachievers and I took all the honors/AP courses with them. I kept having to remind myself that grades aren't everything to keep from feeling seriously inferior.

Aw... well, good luck with that. Don't eat until you really feel like you need to and don't chug any soda just because it tastes good. User Image

I'm glad you found my rambling enjoyable. Haha... rambling is very enjoyable I think.

Haha... yeah. But she was cool for her time I think. She was very optomistic and I'm an optomist.

Being labeled does suck. I always get labeled as "the cute little one" or "ditzy" or something by people and all I want is to be taken seriously. Or I get labeled as the "smart overacheiver" which doesn't really describe everything about me either. I don't think I can be labeled. Nothing fits. User Image

Nice AP scores, btw. I suck at test-taking. XP I did well on all the research projects and stuff, but never could get higher than a 3 on my AP tests. I'm going to college in the fall though so I'm gonna study like crazy. After I got accepted to the college I wanted I sort of went "meh" and my GPA dropped to 3.8. High school is so dead to me right now. User Image

Sorry for the rambling-ness... I'm kinda sick. I had four wisdom teeth pulled and am on pain killers. I hadn't eaten barely anything since Thursday night and had a grape soda and some applesauce several hours ago before taking some more pain killers. Now I'm really sick to my stomach and puked a while ago. I'm searching the net for people to chat with by clicking random links on my "Interest" things. You were the first person online when I clicked Kimya Dawson.

Wow, Arandell!

Believe me, I'm so happy I could lead you into staying. I know that I've been gone for some time, and that the guy taking my place as Kiba sucks, but everyone will just have to live with it for now, until I can find some way to get to the internet more often.

Besides that, I love you, and I'm happy you're not leaving. I'll come post right away.
