Gaia cash pretty much rules almost everything now, its incredibly hard to get pure. But possible, Lake Kindred takes time, but its effective if you're just starting off. And no problem, anytime ^^

Oh! Well, welcome to Gaia!!! ^~^ Yea, Gaia didn't always use to be like this, or so pricey. The items use to be a lot cheaper. But Gaia was sold back in 2011 - 2012 and then they incorporated "Gaia Cash" into everything. Which inflated the Market into the billions and trillions. But its fairly easier to get gold now by playing the mini games or Lake Kindred. And usually people are open to donations. If anything after I sell a few stuff I'll try to help you out a little.
