About
Red Roses By Me
'Twas the year of 1989
In England's summer days
Where one girl stood in black
Mourning over her mother's grave
It was two years and six months
Her mother was diagnosed
With the deadly disease she did die
And took along her daughter's heart
THey were the best of friends
Joking all the time
Unitl that very day
Until that rainy, sorrowful day
"Your mother's hit her head.
And between the red cells and white
Something is not right."
Sighed the doctor that night.
For two years and six months
Her mother lie sick in bed
As she broght roses
To her every day.
Oh those beautiful red roses,
Those deep blood red roses!
"Amy, why thank you, my daughter."
Jane would say coughing in her bed.
Now Jane was not there
To see those beautiful red roses
And now the pain and grief
Consumed her like a hungry beast.
"Ican't make it without you,mom.
Please, take me with you!
I want to grow wings and fly away with you
And we'll grow roses together again."
"Oh how I'd give for just one smile!"
Amy cried that night as she held a rose
With thorns as sharp as knives,
That could paint red a mile
That night she pierced herself with those thorns
Ending her pain as the sky weeped for her
And now Amy and Jane grow flowers
In their big garden.
Now Amy and Jane are as happy as ever
Growing the world's flowers and giving the world rain.
And now their bodies lie next to eachother in their graves.
Showered with beautiful red roses.
