Id say just be careful. Avoid alleyways, and dont go out at night alone etc. And id probably try to avoid London unless you really want to go there. They have it the worst. I dont see the appeal of London anyway, but i wouldnt >.<
And i wouldnt carry a knife on you, if your caught by the cops and you will be tried for conspiracy to commit murder.
And i dont hear Manc often as Manchester is up north, and im in the south. But seriously, its gross. Cockney, and Scouse accents are horrible too. But eh everyones opinion differs. My own accent, sucks aswell. Id look up the slang for the areas your going to, so you'd undestand what they are saying.
Then again, i think everything in north england is gross.
Also, id just like to add, that we have having our general election on May 6th. So that could mean ( i hope) we have a change of government, so id keep an eye on the immigration laws.

Its not little. I live in the countryside yet stabbings are getting common here.
Haha, Mancunian accents are really not attractive. xD.
I dont think any part of the UK has nice accents.

Uh.. the first thing id say, is dont bother. This country is a scar on the face of Europe.. if not the whole world.
But if you really want to go, I dont know anything about Manchester, or Manchester University. So i cant really help you that much.
But like any city, id imagine it would have high amounts of knife crime, so watch your back.
I guess UCAS or direct.gov.uk are helpful sites.
If you let me know what sort of things you'd like to know id help the best i can.
