Bio: Freyja is Goddess of: lust (sex), love, war, death and wealth.
According to the book The Rites of Odin by Ed Fitch, Freya was the sister of Freyr. she was very all-encompassing in her attributes, and seemed to have inherited many of them from various personifications of the Great Goddess who far preceded the Gods of Valhalla. Freya is famed for her great beauty, and indeed is often known as "The Fair One".
Freyja is quite independent, being chief of the Valkyries, the demi-goddesses who select the noble and heroic dead and carry them to the Realm of the Gods. Some of the legends say that a quarter or even a half of the dead go to Freyja. She is patroness of women who attain wisdom, status, and power, since the Valkyries had been ordinary women, then priestesses, and after being Valkyr became Norns, the Great Goddesses who weave the fates and histories of people and of nations.
After a war the Vanir seem to have been supplanted by the younger Aesir, who were led by Odin. When peace was agreed between the two sides, Njord went with Freyr and Freyja to Asgard, where they lived with the Aesir as a token of friendship.
Freyja is the wildest of the goddesses, free with her sexual favours, mistress of Odin and several gods and men, though she never wants to marry when the gods want her to do so. Although, Freyja was married to a man called Odur, with whom she had the daughter which named Gersemi.
Freyja's chief attribute is the necklace called Brisingamen, which she bought from four dwarves at the price of four nights of her love. This necklace is sometimes seen today as embodying her power over the material world, but this necklace has been the emblem of the earth-goddess since the earliest times.
The Jotuns are always trying to take her away from the gods, and it is clear if that happened it would be a great disaster. She was obviously known to be the embodiment of the holy lifeforce on some level.
She is as strong, beautiful and wise as any of the "Eldest Ones."

Bio: I go to an all girls school in my 2nd to last year in High School (6th From, year 12) I like to hang, shop, do things, set things on fire... etc etc I live in little old New Zealand, you know New Zealand don't you? LOTR, King Kong etc etc. I have alot of friends and I don't really like school, but then again who does? well, thats me at my ball VV ^_^
Those gaiaborn under the Lepus Crudus constellation can often be difficult to approach, but can really grow on you once you get to know them. They tend to hang around with others like themselves, and aren't alien to the idea of hostility. Some would call them mean or cruel, but it isn't personal. They just like to push the envelope a little. Their sense of humour can be infectious sometimes, and many would claim they're a bad influence, but really they're just living by their own rules and they can't stand to be caged or forced into doing things they don't want to do. Quick to bite and slow to forgive, you have to be on your toes around them, but get on their good side and you'll probably have a great time.
