I hope I can still pass calculus at this point, but it’ll take extraordinary exam grades--unlikely considered I don’t under half the material on the exam thus far. I’m thinking about changing majors because of the amount of math involved, but also because if at all possible I’d like to be able to have a minor in music. I don’t exactly want to be a stay-at-home-all-day-and-write-websites-and-stuff person (not because I wouldn’t want to, but because pay is low and work unreliable), but I’d also like a chance to be able to develop my creative side. Thanks for the well-wishing, though. My dad says he wishes I would meet a girl who is really good at calculus… oO.

Ohio summers… hm… well, not too hot, not too cold. I guess it’s like eighty degrees on a normal, ninety on a high. There’s no cacti around, which is a good sign . How is summer up in Wisconsin? I already know the winters must be colder, so I assume summer is not as hot up there. But hey, I could definitely be wrong .

As for song parodies… nope, can’t say I have. I’ve kind of made “fun” songs to make fun of a certain genre, but usually not any one song in particular. Maybe I should do that someday, make a video and put it up on You Tube . But what to parodize that is famous but not already parodied half a million times?

Eep… sorry to hear about your sister, not knowing for four months. Finding out what happened must have been terrible… I remember we had a missing student at OSU a few years back, and just last autumn they finally found his body in the river a couple years after he disappeared. He was suspected to have been abducted, but I wish these things didn't happen .

No Old Country Buffet??? Call the mayor and protest! Say it’s a historical landmark and begin a preservation committee! I think I’ve only ever been there once… do you happen to have any Ponderosa Steakhouses nearby? They’re kind of similar. Also Golden Chorral. But yeah, something nothing can beat a home cooked meal. My grandma used to make the best apple and mincemeat pies. Then traditionally my brother and I make the pumpkin pies, which always turn out wrong for some reason or other.

Strangely enough, my dad is the real chef of the family, even though it’s my mom who typically stays at home. Occasionally she’ll make a casserole, beef stroganof for my dad’s birthday, and cook foods from organic-food stores like Whole Foods and a place with all kinds of strange foods called Trader Joe’s. But most of the time if there’s anything to cook, my dad makes it. Though lately it seems they just buy food from the grocery store I work at, since now it’s just the two of them in the house. No two ravenous teenage boys anymore, mwahahah.

My parents are trusting, and for that I’m thankful. I have a curfew, but it’s late enough for most purposes--1:30. (Except for the one night last summer when I talked with my friend for two hours, from 1:30-3:30, and came home real late. Heheh… that was the only time I‘ve been out past curfew without a real excuse.) The only thing is it kind of felt like my parents ignored my brother and I for the most part. We never really did many of those “father-son” activities or whatnot.

Yep, I had braces for… about four years, I think. The first year was hell--I only had braces over a few teeth, leaving long wires that popped out incredibly easily, and I was frequently making visits back to the orthodontist (who we called Doctor Evil, including our mom) to get them fixed. Heheh. Then the last two years was just going in every six weeks to have braces tightened, then for the last year I had to

Glad to hear you’re doing better! This weeks’ been really frantic, and tomorrow I need to schedule for classes next quarter and talk to my advisor about possibly changing majors. It looks like I won’t be able to pass my calculus class… again. I swear, I have the mathematical ability of a potato with a pencil sticking out of it to make it look smart D:.

Past diseases are indeed interesting, though you’re right. Interesting from a long, long ways away and with the backing of modern medicine! Even though the scary thing is a plague could go global far more easily than before.

Winter is almost over? Heh. Sunday was really warm, like spring. But it’s snowed every day since then and colder than ever . Grrr. No one likes Ohio weather Mirror lake keeps freezing and thawing, then freezing back up again. I’m surprised it hasn’t warped shape or something oO.

I have absolutely no clue why I wrote “phobia of limitation.” I meant to write claymation. Lol, sometimes random words pop in my head at the worst times. Robot Chicken is neat, kind of Monty Python-esque clip show but with parodies of pop culture and such.

My grandmother actually died about a month before I went to college. I don’t know… in a way she died when she had the stroke, because she seemed like a completely different person afterward. Kind of like a shell of a body or something… Yeah, my family is very small. Lol, Old Country Buffet is a good place to meet up with the family. All the food, none of the cooking. Though sometimes it can be fun to prepare the Thanksgiving meal and when you eat it twelve hours later it tastes all the more satisfying.

God, I’d love to visit a restaurant in that French seafood chain… one time my family went to Canada we went to a restaurant with unlimited mussels as an appetizer, before a main dish of lobster. Hahah. Hm… have you ever had escargot? Pad thai? Fondue? Those are good foods my family eats every so often, though they’re all a lot of work to prepare.

Yep, I went to DC with my middle school, 8th grade field trip. Good times… if you ever go, make sure you go inside the Needle, as long as they’re letting you. Hm… remember about six years back when the media had gone crazy with the possibility of terrorist gas attacks? One of my friend’s mother wouldn’t let him go because she was afraid for her son’s safety. He was really angry… Yep, the swings rotated about one big central column. Geez! Your amusement parks sure need better maintenance, lol. I hope he was all right. Kissing someone on a roller coaster? Well… at the top of an incline, yeah. Right at the peak with all the other coasters and trees below you… but I don’t think it’d be a good idea to do it once you’re really moving, unless you’re trying to get whiplash or lose your front teeth oO!

So where are you planning to head on your road trip? Sky diving… I don’t know. I don’t think I’d be brave enough, afraid I‘d somehow break my parachute or something. Bungee jumping I’d feel better about. That is, the few seconds before I fall and then about two days later when I recover from the shock of having the water loom up at me so quickly.

The original Muppets show? I’m not sure I’ve ever even heard of it, to be honest. What is it called? Just “The Muppets?” Hm… do you like Disney Movies?

I haven’t been on a trampoline for years, but yeah. It was fun . We were only allowed to have two people on it at once (neighbors’ rules) so we played games where two of us stayed outside and threw balls inside while one person stayed in and threw them back out, and we’d tally how many balls we’d fetched at the end. Lots of things you can do when you have a surplus of time and a trampoline, lol.

I usually get sick about two or three times a year, usually a cough, runny nose, and muffled hearing. It hasn’t stopped me from school or classes since 5th grade, though. I’m surprised your dreams aren’t about zombie outbreaks or the Black Death .

It turns out I did do better than expected, but only because I expected really low. Still, I’m in the D/E region and I need at least a C- to be able to go on to 152 next quarter. Which means I’ll need to take these last few weeks of winter quarter very, very seriously. Unfortunately we’re getting back into some tough material, waaah. Implicit differentiation is not me favorite task in the world oO.

The snow has partially melted. It snowed real heavy on Sunday but it’s been kind of sleeting/raining since then, so the large mounds of snow are still around but for the most part it’s clear. Well, very muddy.

One of my friends claims to have a phobia of limitation. She partially freaked out over a Robot Chicken clip I sent her (though ironically enough, she had already sent me a different clip from Robot Chicken earlier without realizing it was all the same program.) Funny holiday traditions? Well… my family is really small. My closest relatives live out in Illinoise and we only see them every 2-5 years or so. We used to have our grandmother and uncle come over on Thanksgivings, but then my grandmother had a heart attack which led to a stroke, leaving her mentally impaired. She hasn’t traveled to Ohio since. And now with my brother and I both off at college it’s hard to get everyone together in the first place, so I’m afraid our traditions are all dying out L. But since I haven’t really answered your question, I think I’ll go with how we eat lobster every year on New Year’s eve, buying four live lobsters and cooking them in our home. Surely you’ve got an interesting family tradition to tell though

Lol, I don’t know which form is worse. Depends on the context I guess oO. A couple classmates of mine returned to one of their home countries, Bosnia I think, and went bar hopping. They were sixteen at the time, so I can easily believe it’s just America that’s zealous about drinking. And smoking too, which I think is partially a good thing. As long as the anti-smoking campaigns aren’t done South-Park style, lol.

Hm, for a moment I thought the Mall of America was the grassy open areas in Washington DC, but I think that’s just called The Mall. You ever been to DC as a field trip? Ooh, and speaking of amusement parks, a few vacations ago my family went north to Nova Scotia. On the way we stayed at a hotel with a giant dome attached, and guess what was in that dome? A mini roller coaster! And then inside that a kind of swinging seat thrill ride. Hm, I don’t think the Top Thrill Dragster will derail. At least I hope not; if it were to come off you’d have to run a quarter mile away. It’s so tall there’s no telling how large of an area the falling pieces will cover! I think it’s time your local park needs to hire more mechanics or inspect the rides at more frequent intervals . Seriously, though, I’m glad no got killed. I don’t think I’d ever go on a roller coaster again if I was on or witnessed a fatal crash.

Sweeney Todd is one of those movies I have on my want-to-see list, along with Spiderwick. But there’s not much chance to get down to the theatre though, at least not if you don’t want to go alone.

Mwaahah. Space potatoes! That was a good clip! Almost woke up my roomates by laughing too loud oO. I love the Muppets, at least the older ones. I haven’t seen many of the newer stuff, but they haven’t been nearly half as good. Hm, what was that one with the pirates c
