About
Jeff. 23. Christian.I am learning:
Don't take yourself too seriously, you're not that great and neither am I. Always say sorry, even if you're not at fault. Chances are that you'll regret it in the future.
Make a window for reconciliation and be quick to forgive when the opprotunity arises. You'll be grateful that you did, especially when you're alone with your thoughts.
None of us are making it out of this thing alive, so try not to waste too much time on being bitter or focusing on fleeting things like the clothes you wear, cars you drive or what people think of you. They'll all lose value when you're alone and old.
Exchange material luxuries for experiences with other people if given the chance. They'll be worth more in the long run.
Grow, but don't age. Mature, but don't lose what you're passionate about. Use your resources and time to invest in things that have greater return.
3 meaningful conversations > 1000 shallow interactions. You'll remember those talks because you learned something new.
Don't look for time, make time. Protect the time you've made and use it wisely. It gets harder as you get older, so practice intentionally setting aside time to process and engage people on a personal level.
Mistakes are inevitable, it's apart of the learning curve. Roll with the punches, don't eat them. Embrace the lessons mistakes teach you, they're a commodity of experience and insight wrapped up in a convenient package that you can use to assist others.
If you're broken hearted, that sucks. It'll suck for a bit, and then for a little longer, but life goes on. Instead of fishing, try swimming for a bit. Forget about fish, enjoy the water for once. There's still so much to see and do, keep swimming.
No matter how broken you become, Jesus loves you and will be there.
To be continued.
