A Little About Me...
At night, I can see the lights of houses and docks and boats shimmering on the water's surface. In the morning, the sun rises over a valley rimmed by slumbering volcanoes, shrouded in golden mist. The river is burnished by the morning light. Geese and ducks bob in the water to catch fingerlings. Cranes and herons look for frogs in the shallows. Gulls sail after the fishing boats, looking for scraps. Falcons and hawks drift far above, hunting. My river is always different. Sometimes it's a silver mirror. Sometimes it is filled with ripples and wavelettes as the tides go in and out. Sometimes, it's a tapestry of smooth and rough places; a map of the secret landscape beneath it's surface. Every day, it's a surprise. I never get tired of watching it flow to the sea.
