Hatter Madigan (or Hatter M) is a member of the Millinery, Wonderland's security force. He served as bodyguard to Queen Genevieve, before she met her untimely fate at the hands of Red. Mere moments before, Genevieve instructed Hatter to flee with princess Alyss, and to protect her from that moment foreward, for the sake of the queendom. Many events occured after that point, including the almost immediate seperation of the princess and and Milliner, resulting in a thirteen year search for the girl. All the while, Redd had forcefully taken over the Queendom, and her tyranny grew every day.
After finally retreiving the princess, who after so many years of riducule had abandoned her belief in Wonderland, the Alyssians began their battle to regain the Queendom, first by educating Alyss in all that she had forcefully repressed and all that she had missed during her absence.
The battle was feirce, but Alyss' imagination pulled through in the end, and, although failing to completely destroy Redd, she regained control of the Queendom. Hatter now serves as her bodyguard, continuing to keep his promise to Queen Genevieve, as well as his sense of duty.
