Hmm... as a separate character, based on looks and traits, I guess Sheik could be a guy. It would be a little confusing though.

But yeah, you're probably right, in the future they will most likely start calling Sheik a female, that is, if Sheik is introduced in anymore games at all.

However, if you were to say that to others, they'd have to protest. Some people still think of Sheik as a character, as Sheik had what they needed for a character. Looks, a personality, a purpose, etc. So Sheik could be considered as her own character, rather than being part of Zelda.

# 剣

* 敵を斬りつける近接武器。リンクの主要な攻撃手段であり、ほとんどの敵にダメージを与えられる。
* 多くの作品において、新たな剣を入手したり、イベントにより強化されてパワーアップする。特にリンクの剣の代名詞とも言える「マスターソード」は伝説の剣という扱いで、特殊能力な力や物語の鍵になる事もある。
* 2Dの作品では体力が満タン・Lv2以上の剣を所持などの条件で剣を振ると、剣先からビームを出して遠距離攻撃ができる。3Dになった作品では『ムジュラの仮面』の鬼神リンクを除いてこの剣ビームは登場しない。
* 『夢幻の砂時計』では、「勇気のみなもと」というアイテムを一定数入手することで、剣を振った際に、剣先から衝撃波が出せるようになる。
* 『神々のトライフォース』以降の作品では、剣ボタンを長押しして力を溜めた後放すことにより威力の大きい「回転切り」を放つことができ、リンクの代表的な技になっている。
