The cheek burned and his smile grew. The boy who failed to grow up on the inside, no matter how much he had grown up on the outside. That boy was laughing on the inside, the butterflies within his stomach set free. Orin grabbed Cole's waist and twirled her in the air, his bright eyes still on his face.
"And you, my princess, I shall hide away from those who wish to mock you and hurt you for our love and your dreams...for I love you and your dreams all the same."

The fairy folk grinned in delight, some mouths were agape and several others attempted the twirling motion out of zeal and curiosity.
Once the princess was set down, Orin's hand was in hers and his eyes were set on her own. "Even if I can't make you the happiest princess on the earth...It's the most I can do..." Orin whispered gently, finally taking her face and pressing his forehead on hers. "I'll...never leave you."

This feeling again. His heart stopping and his breaths becoming short. Cole made all the lonely gone...gone...gone.
Was this the man she was talking about, was this the man she saw before herself or the man she listened to inside of this so called beautiful body?
The prince had to admit, if it was not for the curse, he would not be who he was. And as for Cole's words, they made him glow fro the inside literally, his happiness overflowing.

He needed no good looks or lack of curse to be happy. He had Cole. This gentle girl who listened to his heart beat without any shame nor guilt. Orin felt happy and chuckled, shoulder shaking as his flamboyant smile spread, "Cole, you flatter and spoil me darling." and he kissed her forehead after brushing away from rebellious chestnut strands of silken hair gently. "I have the prettiest princess in the world. I must be on my guard. My pretty princess' beauty is a far more precious treasure to me than anything else."

The prince smiled at his princess. He was happy...happy in her arms. Happy to have her in his. This was all he needed.

His heart stopped and shot up into his throat. What? Reaching down to cup her chin and look at that terrible, beautiful face marked by tear streaks, he had to swallow words he did not mean to say and come up with new ones.
Orin whispered, "Y-your friends, they...left you because of...-me-?!" the prince gasped.

This girl, who deserved everything and all of the happiness in the world; Cole the pretty, smart, beautiful and understanding, was losing her friends because of...him? Orin found it hard to really swallow; this terrible fact that made his shock blue eyes go wide and heart skip a few beats. Her tears not only moved him, they broke him. Oh Cole...

Orin smiled, an understanding smile that forgave this. With gentle, grazing finger tips her brushed those petty tears away. Tears were far more powerful than any dragon, witch or sorcerer. Despite his low composition, his heart shivering and his shattered pride, this young prince felt proud of himself for he new how to conquer tears.

Orin laughed weakly, "I'll skewer any man who shall abduct my fair princess. You can always count on that...I'll always be here...no matter who breaks your heart, my lovely Cole." he whispered, kissing her gently and drawing back with teary eyes. He felt defeated, but he would never give up. Not to this.
His wary smile was not contagious...but would she smile?

Disturbing, these promises. Frequent, bittersweet and they all came from Cole. Never had he come so close to making promises. Not ever until now. It was a sad requiem that Thyemus' soft red glare on that innocently colored blue flower.
Don't let it die...be reborn once it does...
Come alive.

Orin tenderly stroked Cole's cheek. It was soft and held warmth as did her soft, gentle gray eyes. Warmth, understanding and comfort. Orin found himself warped into these orbs of distant light that seemed so close that it was blinding. With a breathless sigh, the prince cupped her chin and looked into her eyes, whispering gently, "Oh darling... there can never be a time where we can really be apart..." the sad eyed prince whispered, his voice breaking.

He was too prideful. Really..he could never swallow the fact that life would take away what kept him alive indeed. Hurt and now a little downed by his own pride, the young royal could do nothing but look away, a lump forming in his throat. The flower was illuminated by the light Thyemus created. A soft distant light Cole had...Cole.

Orin cursed under his breath teeth clenched and lightening blue eyes fiery, "Even if your life calls...or if someone steals you away from me...I'll wait. Forever." Orin clenched his fist, looking at Cole with a hurt expression that was filled to the brim with a new life. The royal smiled brashly, the tears still evident but had no meaning any longer, "I highly doubt it though. I'll climb over any wall for you. Arouse the guards into Death's hand and steal you away from any man!" Orin took his princess' hand tenderly, planting a kiss on it.

"Even if..you won't love me any more..."

The girl whirled up from behind and huggled Cole. Her eyes shimmered and her giggles sounded like wind chimes in the distance. "Lookin' adorable, Cole-chama!" the Healer broke out with giggles, the contagious sound a magical sound. "With her arms still latched around, she looked up at her with big, angel eyes that grinned as much as their owner could.
