♦[ A master of Flying-type Pokémon, Falkner runs the Violet Gym, which he inherited from his father; the Pokémon he uses in battle also formerly belonged to him. Falkner is adored as a cool and handsome trainer. He is, however, overshadowed by his absent father. Perhaps because of this, Falkner aspires to be the greatest of bird masters. He is in charge of being the first gym newbie trainers are tested at, at the beginning of their journey, to test their ability starting out and to see if they have what it takes to progress. For this he will use his weaker birds, his higher-ups being reserved for only elite class battles. It is widely considered an honor if Falkner decides you are on skill enough to face them. ]♦
