He resembles both Dante and Vergil. An orphan that was adopted by the Order of the Sword, he has grown up to be a Holy Knight in the Order. Nero is a descendant of Sparda's blood - although it is not yet known if he is a direct relation to Dante and Vergil - hence his right arm and the powers of the "Devil Bringer." He tends to not get along well with others and prefers to work alone, so he is usually given the Order's "special assignments". He wields a sword named Red Queen, a revolver called Blue Rose and the "Devil Bringer" powers of his right arm. Later in the game, he somehow repairs and wields Yamato, along with a Devil Trigger form where, unlike Dante, he is shadowed by a giant disembodied demon spirit (instead of becoming more demonic). It is in this form that he wields the Yamato. Oddly enough, the shadow hovering over Nero resembles Vergil's Devil Trigger state.
