A few of my favourite things...
- Watching a clean green tennis ball fall from a clear blue sky;- Removing the foil from a new tube of toothpaste;
- Having my head groomed;
- Slak Fox, the world's most irreverent cartoon fox;
- The warmth of the sun on your bare skin as you bask in a sunbeam whilst curled up on top of the bed, purring gently;
- Losing myself completely in my own imagination;
- Changing grammatical person with total disregard for the consequences;
- The guitar twang 4'30'' into Twisting Mary's Arm by Hefner;
- The existence of Twisted By Design;
- Going "whuffle";
- Getting out of the shower, drying yourself on a clean towel, putting on some clean pyjamas, and snuggling up under some clean bedding;
- My girlfriend's barbecue/Chinese sauce (ingredients: malt syrup, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, five spice; method: mix to taste);
- Standing knee-deep in the sea, the sun beating down on you, skimming stones;
- The view out over Crantock Bay from West Pentire;
- Standing on bridges, particularly those over water, looking out and contemplating the world;
- The sound of a sparrow accelerating;
- A beautifully worked segue on a compilation;
- Getting something just right;
- When Cherry stops laughing in Micro Machines '96 and just smiles at you;
- Those occasional moments when you're alone in the house, there's some catchy upbeat tunes playing, you're taken by the music and just start grooving away, and, just for a minute or so, everything is perfect in the world.
