GeneCo File

Where do I even begin...?
.... Oh. Perhaps my name would be a good place to start.

Hello. I'm Nathaniel Wallace, but you may call me Nathan.

User Image
I used to have a happy, carefree life. I worked as a doctor, and had a lovely wife named Marni.

User Image
We were expecting a child, but Marni became very ill, and wouldn't stop bleeding. I was torn between saving her or the unborn child, and... well, now I have Shilo to raise.

User Image
Rotti Largo assisted me in covering up what happened, and now I work for him at GeneCo, with the job of repossessing organs.

User Image
Shilo means the world to me. I won't allow anything to hurt her, and if someone or something gets in my way...

User Image
...then I'll merely have to put them out of their misery.

[[ XDD Wow we had another one going on. Oh well. THIS IS MORE INTERESTING. 8D ]]

Steven looked up at the mansion before him, and frowned. The shivering didn’t help the feeling much either, but he ... he could deal. Nathan had invited him over. That alone put him in a good mood.
The fact that he was let in the gate was even better, even though he was expecting it. He glanced over at the scenery before opening the door and entering quietly (and hopefully unnoticed).
Marni’s face over the fireplace mocked him—again. Then again, he wasn’t surprised. It always mocked him.
He snarled quietly upon the realization that he might run into her. Without dwelling on it, he moved the black object and then descended down to The Batcave Nathan’s chambers. It was only assuming that he’d be there; after all, he told him how to get in ...

"Nathan?"

"Thank ye. I can't 'andle six jobs, especially in me current state."
The younger man dared to move a little closer, but was intently focused on the files. That's what he was trying to portray, anyways. He pulled out one file, and the familiar face made him grimace.

"... I'll take care o' this one," he muttered. Then, he attempted to get his own attention to the five files left in the folder.
"Anythin' that's easier fer ye? We 'ave a rowdy bunch, apparently." Steven furrowed his eyebrows, and shook his head slightly. All of these guys got in trouble--at LEAST once--for violence. Why were they all bunched into one little ...
Never mind.
Why the HELL was he focusing on the JOB? This is the first time he had seen Nathan in ages and here he was talking about ripping out organs ...
He had half a mind to ask him to do something later, but bit his tongue. It would come off as creepy, anyways ...

Heshouldn'theshouldn'theshouldn't.
Nathan did enough for him already. This wasn't fair to him at all. Steven stood outside of the door to the 'break room,' as he liked to call it, for the Repomen. Was Nathan even in there? Probably not.
He shouldn't even be splitting files. He took enough of a vacation as /is./

For another moment, he stared at the door like he was making a life-changing decision. Eventually, Steven cautiously entered the room, attempting to ignore the two strangers (new men? Probably not) talking amongst themselves in the corner.
Blue eyes scanned the area until they rested on his mentor, and he (attempted to) walk over calmly, waving the folder with a wry smile.

"Time t' get these done, aye?"
It was only six. Not too bad, right ...?

Mongoose Whatever
It was dark again. Mongoose was very gradually realizing he hated the dark, but he was also realizing that it got dark pretty much every day. But his person was often at this building when it was dark, so it didn't hurt to check again. Even if he had already checked earlier that day.
He stared up at the GeneCo. building, watching vaguely familiar people pass, but none of the people were his person. So he whined and backed away from the building, then turned and started trotting back to the apartment.
He was half way home when he realized something and abruptly chirped delightedly. He took off down a side road and after a few minutes of running he slid to a halt in front of the house he had followed the lady-person to a few hours before. No one was outside, but maybe she would come out; so he squawked...loudly. And then a second time. But before he could squawk a third time, he saw someone approaching.
This was not the lady-person, but a person was a person. So, tail hesitantly wagging and ears pricked forward curiously, he trotted forward.

(o.o; This post is horrible. Sorry 'bout that.)

sad I have to get off for now. I'll see you as soon as I can get on. I am normally only able to get on once a week, so that is just a warning.
I will see you soon, Nathan! It was great to meet you. heart )

-she returns the gesture and pulls herself close.-
Always the flatterer, Nathan. You haven't changed at all.
