My name is Yvette, I'm 25, and I'm a 2003 member. I remember many things that are no longer a part of Gaia. And I remember the way Gaia was before the things we have now. Things we both love and hate. Funny how you can't please an angry mob?
My main account, Marquess of Pembroke was once Cruzer. I left that account because of the hack attempts. Pretty lame. I really wanted to stay. But before Gaia soulbound the sashes I got 4 of mine to this account, so for better or for worse, here I am.
I'm currently a stay at home mother, and I'm trying to get back into school for nursing this coming year. My daughter Grace Elizabeth is the love of my life. She's my angel and my blessing. Her father is the only man I will ever love. He's the sweetest, kindest most loveable goofball you could ever know. Grace was born March 2nd, 2008 after 5 failed pregnancies and 22 hours of labor. My account is named after Marie Antoinette. A very beautiful and wrongfully executed Queen of France. Google it. After reading many books I fell in love. It's hard not to really. Royal women were hard working in many ways. They looked over the household, planned parties, had children and looked after their education. They helped the poor and did projects from sewing of shirts for the poor or collected food to help feed them. Think Princess Diana and you've got the idea.
I lost my job in 2008 because of the crappy economy, and since I live near Detroit, I can pretty much kiss my life as I've known it goodbye. I'm not one to sit around and dream of the old days. The auto industry will NEVER come back as strong as it was. It will, however, adapt and change to survive. And so will I. I've got 2 years of college under my belt and I'm heading back on a Goverment grant to finish it out so I can be a Nurse. And not just any nurse, but a Pediatric Nurse. I wanna be there when a baby comes into this world cause that is when life is the most precious. One thing I can count on is people's ability to reproduce. It's a gauranteed job for life. Funny, I used to say I couldn't go through life without a college degree, and somewhere along the lines I thought I could really do without it. HA! Boy, it doesn't matter how old you get. You'll always have life sneaking up and giving you a kick in the butt to get you moving.
We're finally expecting again, after what seems like forever since Grace's birth. We hadn't tried for long, so I guess we got lucky. The baby, Benjamin Wallace will join us before or shortly after Christmas of 2009. His room will be done in Spiderman and Transformers, much to his father's delight! Grace and Ben will be 22 months apart. Not bad. But having 2 under 2? Well, let's see how far the madness will take us? Wish me luck! <3
