Hey there! Names Sadiq Adnan, but I'm more commonly known to as Turkey.
Long ago, I was known as the Great Ottoman Empire. Those were the days when I was my strongest. No one would mess with me, and not get hurt. At least, if I wasn't to bored or hungry for food; otherwise you had to deal with my power. In those days my boss was harsh and cruel. He cared for nothing other than strengthening his already large empire.
In those days, if you had power you could be respected. I understood that, as did all those living in my time. Especially them.
When I say them I mean my friends. The Byzantine Empire, and The Great Egytian Empire.
Damn, they were beautiful. Both. But The Bysantine Empire, or Ancient Greece took my eye. Her beauty far surpassed that of the Mythical Helen of the trojan war. I mean even the Great Roman empire was after her. But alas, as I mentioned, Power was everything.
All powerful empire's began battling, trying to grow and become the top. Byzantine was most definitely a force to be reckoned with. I admired her, for this strength.
One fateful day, my boss ordered me to invade and conquor the Byzantine Empire. I did not want to harm my friend and my first love, but the penalties for disobediance were torture and public humiliation before a brutal death. Do not look down on me for not wanting this fate.
In the year of 1261, I met her upon the battlefield. Seeing her beauty I was floored. How was I ever going to be able to kill her? My hesitation gave her the first strike. When she hit, she hit hard. I have a large scar from this fateful meeting. But alas, as you can tell. I came out on top, and won. The Ottoman Empire, grew further while the Byzantine fell.
Now, I can honestly say this. Had I known she had a child I would have willingly accepted the pain and torment before my inevitable death. But, that information was withheld from me. It was hours later, after our battle, I decided to return to her resting place to say my final goodbyes. When I see a small figure huddled over her body. It trembled and shook. My heart crumbled. It was Heracles.
After I found him, I raised him so he could be stronger and I know he had every right to hate me for taking his mother from him, but... -sigh- There's nothing really I can say.
