We are a pair of identical translating twins working in Spanish, German, English, and French (Dagmar only). We were born in Austria, grew up in a trilingual household in Mexico City, and now live on different continents. Together, we run our translation and copywriting business, Twin Translations, on both sides of the Atlantic. In this blog, we dispense (useful) tips and tricks on how to run a translation business efficiently and effectively. Our main focus is on marketing and working with direct clients. We frequently share what we know with fellow linguists via our "The Entrepreneurial Linguist" workshop. Judy holds an M.B.A. in marketing, while Dagmar has an advanced degree in French. She's currently getting a degree in French and Spanish interpretation and, in her spare time, working towards a Ph.D. in Romance languages.
