"Florida sucks" is a matter of personal opinion, really. And it has more to do with our government anyways. From what I've seen of majority of the U.S., I actually prefer it here. I don't like cold weather, I don't like small towns, I don't like extremely populated areas, and I don't like being far from the sea. Florida is none of these things.
I suppose that drivers get more aggressive in more populated areas, but I thought that was true for most cities. Again, it's fairly easy on the freeways. As for traveling, just make a lot of rest-stops. Also, the weather is going to be hot compared to winter in Washington. I moved down here from Washington myself when I was younger. I thought the heat was going to kill me.

Florida is flat, generally lacks aggressive drivers, and has a lot of freeways. It's pretty easy to drive through. But Pensacola is in the Northwest tip of Florida, and to be honest, I've never been up there or through Mississippi or Alabama, which you might have to go through to get there. (I have no idea where you'll be driving from, either.)
I guess just expect a lot of rednecks if you're going to be staying in North Florida.
Well, that too, it fits the nature of the username. There is? But I can imagine that, save for that one more obscure user, you're likely the only one with that avatar. In any case, you're welcome. 3nodding

No problem, and nice avi.
I would say... Don't go swimming in any freshwater. Unless it's a pool.
