Once upon a time there was an Io, who simply could not stick to any one thing for any length of time, and therefore had a habit of signing up to forums, maybe making an introduction post, and then vanishing. One day, one of the Io's online friends said to her "OMG YOU MUST SEE THIS SITE" and linked her to Gaia, way back in October of '03. Io was intrigued and created an account, played around a bit, got a few rare events......and then was distracted by something shiny and very nearly forgot that Gaia existed.
A few years later, this same friend of Io's prodded her about Gaia again, tempting her with the promise of a shiny roleplay pet. For it is well known that the only way to get Io's attention for long is to offer a roleplay! Interest piqued, Io returned to Gaia - and behold! There were so many new features and surprises waiting for her! Particularly upon discovering the GCD and becoming interested in Gaia's plot, Io fell in love, and vowed to frequent and donate to Gaia forever more!
...she is still banging her head against the wall for not doing so earlier, however.
Gamer, roleplayer, artist, toy collector, and so much more, I most often frequent the GCD and the (video) Gaming Discussion, though I also pop into the Toys and Collectibles subforum and the Exchange every so often (not to mention Breedables when so inclined). Though my lurker habits are dying hard on the forums themselves, I'm far more talkative on Towns. Look for me haunting VO's house! ^_^
...yeah, that's all I got right now. Maybe I'll be more interesting later. razz
