Hesperia is a MUD, or Multi-User Dungeon. A Text-based roleplay, where the land is premade, and you are an adventurer out to gain power and fame in this new world.
(Think DnD without dice, a DM, and where you have to type out your every action.)
If you've played Everquest, I do believe that is a visual MUD.
