A NEW TOMORROW
Lina stared blankly out into the darkness, taking in everything, and yet seeing nothing. She felt the crisp night air slice across her skin and dash through her hair. She was tired, run down... and yet restless. She had been doing the same thing for years now... traveled with the same people... the very people that now slapt soundlessly behind her. Part of her wished that the wind would just take her away... that she would grow wings like a bird and fly away... towards a new tomorrow.
"Lina-san?" Tha strange, yet familiar, voice startled her from her restless thoughts. She turned around quickly and saw a mysterious purple-haired priest standing behind her.
"Xelloss? What are you doing here?" She asked surprised to see the mazoku again.
"Now Lina... I'm afraid that's my little secret!" Xelloss said as he winked and wagged a finger in her direction. Lina had to smile.
"You sure haven't changed..."
"It appears you haven't as well...", he said gently. Lina lookd at him somewhat confused and bewildered as he continued: "You still have that same restless spirit, a need for adventure..."
"Hmmm...things have been rather uneventful lately... I've just been fighting bandits and 3rd-rate sorcerers mostly...." Xelloss crept closer to her until he was within an inch of her. Then he whispered in her ear softly:
"Come with me Lina, join the mazoku and put your powers to real use... I guarantee you won't be bored anymore... and neither will I."
She was quite startled by his proposition... and tempted as well. Just as she was about to rerfuse however, he spoke again:
"Join me Lina... leave this life behind..." He leaned in and kissed her gently. At first she resisted, but then gave in. After several moments she pulled away.
"No Xelloss... I can't join you. I could never join you. For the same reason I couldn't be a slave to Shabrinigdo, I can't be a slave to Zelas, or to you. I've fought too hard to save this world to go and destroy it now. And besides... I could never leave my friends... I could never leave Gourry." With a smile she looked over to the sleeping forms of her friends, then back to Xelloss. "Thank you though... I believe you just helped me put a few things into perspective."
Xelloss smiled, "I am sorry to hear that, Lina; although I must say I'm not exactly surprised. Just remember, you may love the light, Lina, but you will always be drawn to the darkness... always... and the precise moment you decide to embrace it, I'll be there..." He turned and started to walk away into the shadows. Just as the darkness had almost consumed him, Lina called out to him...
"Xelloss... do you love me?" He stopped and turned to look at her with a somewhat regretful smile.
"That, my precious Lina, is a secret..." He then disappeared...

Nothing much to say really...
I like to write, so I'll be adding to my journal soon... it will consist of poems, short stories, and fanfictions... the fanfictions will be from Slayers.
Stuff about me... hmmm... Well...
-Absolutley ADORE Slayers! It is my all-time favorite anime/manga.
-According to a source, my best friend sits beside me in computer class (this is unconfirmed, for the one who said it is the only person that sits beside me...)
-I like randomness... so random comments and Pm's are most welcome!!!! ^_^
Oh yeah, in case you see the pictures and look at the guilds I'm in and become scared... yes I am bi... so if you don't like, GET OVER IT!!!!
