I do not recall my human life, but it does not matter to this day. As a hollow, I was rejected by my clan, whom are all in pure black with their white teeth agleam and their eyes shining. They always desired and ate until no trace of life is left around them. On the other hand, I was in pure white. There was nothing to me except my eyes. I could hear nothing, I could bite nothing, I could smell nothing, I could not feel as I touch, I could not rest, and most importantly, I had no companion. I was he who desired nothing. In my mind, I have achieved happiness. Happiness is having nothing, therefore having nothing to lose. If such a thing resembles happiness in the world, should it not resemble limitless nothingness?
What is there, over there? A woman. I was instantly captivated. She spoke of several things, things I could not comprehend. The woman puts her friends in special regard always seeming to know how the others feel. She is ignorant. Why so? Friendships are the ephemeral delusion accompanied by having useless emotions. However, it still is though as if her and her companions are bound together by a single string. However, I do not see this string, and therefore, it does not exist.
This woman never ceases to talk about the heart. She speaks of it as if it was another object, not exactly the organ that supports human life. What is this heart? If I rip open her chest, will it be there? Or if I crack open her skull, will it be there? Certainly it is there, I will find it.
Stop it, woman. Please. This woman relentlessly irking new feelings within me. I do not need it. It is unnecessary. Why must she persist on punishing me? Perhaps not. Perhaps it is the Shinigami's fault for all of this. I will eradicate him, for he is stubborn trash that deserves to die. The woman...I will not rid of her. She will stay by my side and my side only. No one else's.
Yet while dying, this woman still looks at me as if... as if I was anything but a monster. No matter what I do, you always seem to make me question my ways. Will you reject me? Are you afraid of me, woman?
Her heart...it is in my hand. Happiness; It is associated with her heart. Though I only achieved happiness for a moment, I was able to cherish and bask in its warmth and certainty. It was a pleasant feeling, and I long to feel it once more. Where is this "happiness"? Happiness is Inoue Orihime.
